Since 1981, Foundation for the Children of Haiti (FEH) has worked to improve the lives of children in Haiti. The Foundation recognizes that quality education is the foundation for better living now and in the future. FEH is recognized in Haiti and other countries for its visionary work in education and medical care.
After years of providing elementary and secondary education for thousands of students in Port-au-Prince and Musotte, FEH saw the need for post-secondary technical education especially in the rural area in the southern part of Haiti where there are few, if any, options for students who complete the government funded high school. Until the formation of C-Tech, students had to leave the southern peninsula to pursue further education in Port-au-Prince or another city. The benefit of decentralizing educational institutions became evident after the catastrophic earthquake of 2010. FEH opened the doors of C-Tech in 2016 with programs in Electronics and Health Sciences. Additional fields of study will be added.
Per the vision of FEH, the education at C-Tech is to train students to use computers and modern technology in addition to instilling integrity and pride in accomplishment. Students may complete a four-year, diploma-granting program or engage in technical and vocational training leading to a certificate of accomplishment.
Interpersonal communication is a core value of C-Tech. Being able to communicate well is key to personal success as well as community building and leadership. C-Tech does not discriminate based on race, gender, financial status, or religious affiliation.

FEH believes that education is the key to creating sustainability and lasting change within Haiti. C-Tech was created to allow for this change to start with the next generation of young adults. This scholarship program will allow individuals who would not have the personal resources create lasting change for themselves, their families, and their communities. -Gladys Thomas, CEO
