Bringing Christmas Joy
To the Children of Haiti 

Sat.Nov. 26 – Sat. Dec. 3, 2011 

     USFCH is hosting a trip to Haiti to bring Christmas gifts to the orphanage children. Each year Gladys Thomas, Director of the Foundation, hosts a Christmas party for all the children affiliated with the Foundation. The team will bring toys and help prepare for the party. There will also be opportunities to view all of the facilities of the Foundation, spend extensive time at the Village with the youngest children, tour downtown Port-au-Prince, and travel into the, countryside to view the unique beauty of Haiti.
 

The tour is led by Karla Albert, sponsorship coordinator on the board of USFCH. Karla is the adoptive mother of two girls from Haiti. She has traveled to Haiti for many years and led numerous visits for friends of the Foundation.

Costs:  Each participant is responsible for his/her own flight arrangements to Port-au-Prince.
             Deposit: $100, non-refundable, required to hold your spot on the team.
             Meals and Lodging: $300. 
             Transportation and Tours in:  $200
             Total:  $600

Requirements for travel to Haiti:
           A valid U.S. Passport that does not expire within 6 months of your return from Haiti.
           A current tetanus recommended. Check your local health dept. for immunization recommendations.

Trip Insurance:

We recognize that participating in this tour is a financial commitment. We highly recommend that you protect your investment by purchasing travel insurance once you have reserved your spot(s) on the team. In the unfortunate event that you have to cancel your trip, you would be subject to our cancellation refund policy. (see below) A travel insurance policy can help you recover some or all of the tour costs that you might lose. You can compare rates and policies at www.insuremytrip.com.
